Revision Lenco L 85        3 / 5

While replacing the cap’s I could see on the solder side the production date of the electronics: 05.02.72. The electronics here were installed in the first series of the L 85. Later series were produced with a plug-in version which greatly simplified a repair. Both electronics are fully compatible.

For safety reasons, I replaced the 2'200 μF electrolytic capacitor in the power supply with a 35 V version. When the fine regulation is switched off, the unstabilized DC voltage rises to approx. 28 V!

Before the electronics is assembled, it is worth examining the print for bad solder joints. In order not to disassembled the electronics a second time I also checked the 3 power transistors for short circuit or interruption. As a rule, however, the semiconductors are actually no problem and it is very rare that one of the transistors breaks down.

After installing the electronics I dedicate myself to the top of the device. After all these years, some residues have settled on the Pulley. It should be dismantled for cleaning, as dust has accumulated underneath.
