The Lenco L 4000 Music Center was introduced in mid 1975. The electronics was manufactured by Südfunkwerke Germany. It was assembled in Switzerland and mainly distributed in Switzerland through ExLibris. The FM-Tuner has 5 pre-set’s, LW, MW, and SW bands for AM.


First series were equipped with the L 65, later units had the L 84 record player. ExLibris sold it for CHF 1’250.— including the dust cover and 2 Lenco 2440 speakers.

The LW range has a switchable BW filter for 9 kHz and 30 kHz. It could be switched with the MONO Button. It is labeled with MONO / TR
