The L 236 was Lenco’s third full automatic record player introduced in 1977. Based on the L 65 and the L 84, it was available as a record player in it’s own plinth but also as a chassis or Lenco itself built it into their music center ( Lenco L 3600 ). It was available in a black or sandy beige finished very solid plastic plinth. With the L 236 the viscose damped suspension was abandoned and Lenco stopped the development of the low end line.

In spring 1978 Lenco released the L 246 / L 247. A complete new chassis following Lenco’s new design.
