When you have finished the process of making the spare parts for the maintenance you are ready to prepare your L 78 Mk II*.

Remove the platter - if it is stuck use this trick:

Grab the platter with both hands and lift it up until it is stuck. One hand rests with two or three fingers still keeping the platter as high as possible. With the other hand use a small hammer and tap slightly on the platter spindle in the center. You should feel now that the platter can be removed easily.

*Is my L 78 a Mk I or Mk II?

If it looks like this then it’s a Mk I

If it looks like this then it’s a Mk II
