Revision Lenco L 85        1 / 5

Arrived from Norway with 2 Lenco L 85 in the trunk of his car. Michael found my service offer on my website and wrote to me. Wow, what a start and straight from Norway ....

I first examined both L 85s to determine their condition. Visually, both turntables looked good, but mechanically and electrically it looked different and I noticed the following:

L 85 SNr.: 11115 in Rosewood Plinth

Tone arm has a mechanical defect: mechanical stop broken

Motor has a mechanical defect: Magnet ring of the rotor broken

Electronics: All electrolytic capacitors must be replaced. Re-adjust auto-stop and speed control. Power switch is mechanically defective.

L 85 SNr.: 11206 in Walnut Plinth

Electronics has a short circuit. Electronics has been repaired, but almost all the electrolytic capacitors were installed with reversed polarity.

Wrong belt - too short. Lift hydraulics defective - no more damping.

Michael agreed to my suggestion to make one out of the two with the wish to use the rosewood plinth if possible. Since both devices are from the exact same series from March 1972, this should not be a problem.
