During the production the appearance of the J-585 changed. Some minor changes were visible from the outside. Inside it got a new designed tube amplifier (Lenco V 201a, later replaced by the V 210) and a built in speaker on the front side. The mechanics of the record player was re-designed and it got an automatic shut-off mechanism that also operated the now new positioned power switch for the motor. 

Ex Libris - the Swiss distributor - sold it in 1965 as ‚Boyophon’* for 99.50 CHF.
