The Lenco J-581 record player has 4 speeds but the cheapest version had only the 33/45 speeds. It has an idler wheel with 36mm ø. Everything is mounted on a bakelite chassis. There was no auto shut off mechanism as the power switch is operated by the speed selector mechanics. The tone arm is equipped with a mono cartridge Ronette DC-284 but is already wired for stereo. The production started in the late fifties and went on until the mid sixties.
A similar design was later used in the first J-585 model.
