Around 1969 Lenco introduced the B 55 continuing Lenco’s light platter series. Developed from the former B 52 featuring now a spring loaded anti skating adjusted by a slider.

By adding a scratch plate similar to the L 75, Lenco gave the B 55 a more modern look. It was available in its own plinth, as a chassis or built into a plinth with integrated power amplifier (Lenco 380 or Lenco 600).

Several other vendors used the B 55 in their music centers or just re-labeled or re-branded it.
